Morels, Morels, Morels!

After months of waiting, weeks of delay, and hours upon hours spent searching for the elusive and revered morel, my quest has finally been rewarded!  And where were these sneaky morels found growing?  Right under my nose, where I would least suspect them!  That's right, my first morels of the season were found right across the street, growing happily in my neighbor's backyard right here in downtown Burlington.  They say that morels often prefer nutrient-depleted soils so perhaps this is an indicator that my neighbor's backyard could use a little work...but on the other hand, I'd prefer if they just let it be!
